Based on the country’s socioeconomic reality and existing health issues, the physician trained at UPAL must be capable of understanding the various situations related to the health–illness process. They must recognize that healthcare is not only about solving problems, but also about contributing to the development of social transformation processes that build values and actions that promote and protect health and life.
The Medicine program at UPAL trains professionals of integrity, with social sensitivity and competence in clinical, surgical, and community care, with the goal of preventing, treating, and rehabilitating patient health. They are committed to social and scientific research within the community.

Graduation Exam
An evaluation through oral or written tests to assess the effectiveness of the professional training process, evaluating knowledge, comprehension, analysis, and the application of theories and procedures to real situations in a specific discipline. The number of tests depends on the number of areas or disciplines involved in the professional practice.
